May 12th, 2010 On Feltstars: 100k Pro Challenge
On Pokershare: 10k guarantee

After a mini break from online poker, I had a light program today,
I started with the 10k on Pokershare . I cruised the rebuy period and found myself with 11k at the break. I was waiting for the big hand that would bring me over the 20k mark, (I play a little more aggressive passed that mark). No big hand was coming my way so I opened up my game a little and I was grinding my way to 17k when I picked up QQ, I raised and got reraised by an aggressive player, a third player cold called the reraise ( and I should have paid more attention).

I decided to squeeze with my QQ and I moved all in, I thought the reraiser would fold and he did. The only problem is that the cold caller insta-called me with AA and that was the end of it.. I am going to have to learn to fold QQ is small tourneys, ( I already know on big tourneys).

I HAVE to play a tournament this week without running into aces, that would be great!

After that, I played the 100k Bounty challenge, this time, I was a bounty, (read my previous blogs for more info about how the bounty works). I had, at my table another bounty, my Feltstars Teammate Jason Lipscomb, and the players were rough on us, trying to collect bounties.

I even had to fold AK, after I raised, the BB moved all in and I thought it was too early to be all in. Getting dangerously low on chips I look down at AA on my small blind, everybody folded to me and the BB was no other than… my Teammate Jason [with plenty of chips] so I decided to slow play and trap him, well it worked, beyond my expectations, he woke up with AJ and raised me, I pushed and he called, Thanks Jason!! I was better, but not out of the woods, and with a bounty on your head, you can’t be just aggressive, you need some cards, cards that never came and I exited the tourney 26th.

It was a fun tourney and on a personal note, for her first play on Feltstars, my student made the final table, well done “D”

Until next time,
May the flop be with you
