Doyles Room has been working hard to create their own poker team called The Brunson 10. The team is to be comprised of ten young poker pros and they are going to bring the poker room to a new level, updating the site and keeping it fresh and current.

Party Poker is looking for their next team member to represent their online poker room. PartyPoker hosted a contest in which players could try out to be the next PartyPoker member. The site has narrowed it down to 16 finalists and now the public gets to vote on who will make the team.

The NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship is set to begin very soon and the list of poker pros that will be competing has been released. This event will see sixty four players competing. Most of the players will be poker pros but the lineup will also include seven online qualifiers. (more…)

The International Mind Sports Association have announced that they intend to accept the International Federation of Poker as a member association at their next meeting in April. This means that the International Olympic Committee will automatically accept poker on their list of skill games such as chess, bridge, checkers or go. “Getting the same recognition as chess and bidge is a great breakthrough for poker,” says the IFP president, author Anthony Holden.
