It’s time for the best online poker tournament series in the industry, PokerStars’ World Championship of Online Poker. This season the series is bigger than ever. The guarantees total $50 million and players can qualify in extreme satellites for as little as $1. PokerStars will host 62 WCOOP events, three being High Roller tournaments, concluding with the No Limit Hold ‘Em Main Event and its $10 million guarantee. All tournament winners will win a huge sum of cash as well as a WCOOP bracelet.

The 2010 World Championship of Poker kicks off on September 5th. It all starts with the $200 buy-in No Limit Hold ‘Em 6-max tournament with a $1,250,000 guarantee at 13:00 ET. The second tournament of the series is one of three High Roller tournaments featuring a $10,000 buy-in. The first two High Roller tournaments will be No Limit Hold ‘Em events; the second event will cost $25,000 to play and will be held over two days. The last High Roller event is another two-day event, but will be an 8-game tournament costing $10,000 to play. This will be the second to last event and will last two days. Two hours after the 8-Game High Rollers event, the Main Event will begin. Despite not having a High-Roller buy-in, the Main Event will eclipse all other buy-ins in the 2010 WCOOP. Players from all poker rooms will surely attend this huge tournament for a chance at a slice of its $10 million pie.

Most poker players avoid the WCOOP due to its larger buy-ins. However, players don’t need a large bankroll to take a seat with Team PokerStars at their favorite WCOOP event. PokerStars is hosting WCOOP Extreme Satellites from August 21st to August 29th. Buy-ins start at $5.50 and games are mix of Hold ‘Em, Omaha, Five-Card Draw, and 8-Game. To find these Extreme Satellites, simply select Events, WCOOP, All, and type “WCOOP Extreme” into the tourney filter.
