After a few days with little or no poker, I played a couple tourneys yesterday. I was card dead in the 10k and very lucky in the 20k, winning
Pretty much all my races and I reached the money in the top 10. After the usual fight to reach the final table, I started in 5th position and surprisingly, it was all in, almost every hand and with the blinds at 5k-10k, ( the bubble lasted almost an hour) I couldn’t sit back and relax so I took my turns of all in moves… I finished 6th when my AJ, all in bet, on the button ran into 77 big blind and I couldn’t improve.

On May 20th I played same tourneys ( I am reducing a lot of my play before my WSOP, Venetian, Caesar’s palace trip next week) and I was trying to work on my game, my patience and my luck lol..

It works pretty well for most part of the 20k tourney, winning a few races with AK vs AQ and a miracle ( thanks God) when I raised with QQ and got reraised all in, I called and I was against JJ, Ok, I like it! The flop came A-J-10, ouch! But at least I had some outs, turn card was the much needed Queen and river was a 10. That pot brought me to the top 10 and I reached the money pretty easily. After losing a few races against short stacks, I became short myself and with 14 players left, I had to push in position with KQ and lost.

I turned my attention to the 10k and I found myself in the top 3 for most of the tourney when, with 31 players ( one from the money), I picked up 33, with no raise preflop 4 players saw a flop of 9-4- 7, everybody checked and a 3 hit the turn, I checked, player A bet and it was folded to me, I made an oversize raise to fake a steal and player A moved all in. This player was fairly aggressive and I had him covered by 10k in chips on 150k pot if I called, I did call and he showed 99 for a flopped set..grrgrgb !!! I managed to reach the money and got out 28th, hoping for better days. The lesson of the day was …Anger management! lol
