Season 6 of PokerStars’ European Poker Tour just ended, and players can already start planning for season 7.

The next edition of the EPT will begin in August, with an event in Estonia. The series will consist of 13 events, with the grand final at a date and location to be determined. This season, it was held in Monte Carlo.

Many of the cities have hosted EPT stops in the past, including London, Prague and Barcelona. Despite the problems at the EPT stop in Berlin, Germany, in this past season — armed men robbed the hotel where the tournament was being played — Berlin is once again on the schedule, in April. The event will again be staged at the Grand Hyatt.

The always popular PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is again a part of EPT, and returns to the Atlantis in the Bahamas. The event is in January, with a $10,000 main event.

John Duthie, the founder of the EPT and now a PokerStars pro, had this to say in a press release for the EPT season 7 announcement: “The EPT just gets bigger and better every season and it shows the passion and enthusiasm players feel for our events. Season 6 had a thousand more players than in Season 5 and we expect the numbers to keep on growing. The prize pool last season was well over €56 million, a €4 million increase on the previous year.”

As always, satellites are available at PokerStars.com to qualify for the main events of each tournament, for a couple of bucks or some frequent player points. The first satellites, for the Estonia event, will appear in the PokerStars lobby in June.

In the main events, players start with 30,000 in tournament chips, with levels at 60 minutes on the first day and 75 minutes thereafter.
