Everest Poker is not satisfied with what they got out of their sponsorship of the WSOP, and will now out of the contract with the summer tournament series. Therefore, the company behind, ostensibly sued Harrahs Entertaiment Inc.
Two years ago, Everest Poker signed a three-year sponsorship with the WSOP. The sponsorship was to recognize that Everest Poker’s logo would adorn all tables at the tournament at the WSOP in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
But now the company behind Everest, Ultra Internet Media (UIM), allegedly sued Harrahs Entertainment behind the WSOP, to escape sponsorship agreement before the summer tournament series, writes Las Vegas Sun.
The newspaper implied sponsorship agreement, Everest Poker will have to pay Harrahs Entertainment Inc. totaling $ 22.5 million, spread over three years.
It is the last payment of $ 8.4 million, which the company will now avoid paying. They consider not that they have been supplied with the product they paid for the previous year.
The core of the dispute is that ESPN, which has the right to send from the tournament, allegedly failed to show Everest Poker’s logo in their broadcasts from turner , and instead view the Full Tilt Poker logo.
Now it will be so exciting to see the logos that will adorn the green felt in the Amazon Room when the tournament series will be launched in less than two months, 28 May
